I think phantom knows what mom is used for in our community. I liked his word play though, it was quite funny

Judging by the locations of the posters on this thread, this site can truly call itself 'international'

In italian there are a lot of way to say "shoulder ride", but they are not short and well defined like the english way.
Here you are some examples:
trasporto sulle spalle
a cavalluccio sulle spalle
a cavallo sulle spalle
a cavalcioni sulle spalle
To translate "Shoulder ride" In italian, you must always involve an action (verb), a subject (who do somenthing) and 2 or more completions:
Luca (subject) porta (verb - active form) Giovanni (Complemento oggetto=Object) a cavalcioni (complemento di modo= how) sulle spalle (complemento di stato in luogo figurato=where)
Giovanni (subject) è portato (verb - passive form) da Luca (agente, the equivalen of "complemento oggetto" in passive forms of verbs) a cavalluccio (complemento di modo= how) sulle spalle (complemento di stato in luogo figurato=where)
There are a lot of exceptions, subject can be implied, object or agent can be implied...
A Giovanni piace farsi portare a cavalcioni sulle spalle.
Main phrase: A Giovanni (subject) piace(werb)
Object phrase: (Giovanni=implied subject) farsi portare (verb - passive form) (da qualcuno= impled agent) a cavalcioni sulle spalle
Theese are some examples of how into Italian not exits a short mode to translate some un-usual concepts like "shoulder ride".
