Ultimate shoulder rides

I was at my friend's house on Friday along with his fiancee for dinner.  I arrived there a bit earlier than expected so he was not home from work yet, meaning it was just me and her for a while.  She had already started making the meal.  We were having some idle chat when the smoke detector started to go off.  We thought it would stop as there wasn't that much smoke but it kept going.  She wanted to see if she could shut it off but the only chairs they have are these narrow bar stool type things that she didn't feel comfortable standing on.  Here's where I come in.    I offered to put her on my shoulders (she's about 5'7", 130 to 140 pounds) and she accepted.  I squatted down and put my head between her thighs and gracefully picked her up off the ground.  She fiddled with it for several minutes before it finally stopped ringing.  I put her down and she thanked me for helping her.

This was the first ride I've given in quite awhile and it felt great.  Now that summer is approaching here in the U.S. I'm looking forward to giving rides more frequently!
