A recent Myspace find I read on a teenagers website

Here is a posting I have cut & pasted out of a Myspace page I found recently while doing shoulder carry searches. No picture that I could see, but an interesting true story of a teen girl reflecting what a bully she was in the 6th grade when she beat up some boy. I posted it here because there are shoulder rides briefly mentioned as well. I am a bit embarrassed actually because it reminds me so much of my and my sister. The similarites with some of my postings in here are amazing. Yet this is someone I do not know at all. She was much much meaner than my older sister was to me - and I thought my Sister was pretty bad. My own sister would have never done this to me even if she could have. Anyway, it is an interesting posting even if it is more a schoolgirl-pin story than a shoulder ride story. I do not know if I will leave it up long. It makes me feel so sorry for the poor boy who was the victim of this girl and probably is not even suitable for this group. I just thought the shoulder riding part was interesting. I might delete the bullying part out where she sits on the poor boy and punches him and just leave the shoulder ride part in. I wonder if this was a school essay she did or not. Probably just some personal reflection. I did correct some of her spelling mistakes after cutting and pasting but basically this was it.

I Was Such a Nasty, Mean, Bully in Primary School – By Katie (14)

At the start of 5th grade we had a new boy in school – Thomas. As the teachers wanted to make the kids mix a bit more in the 5th & 6th grade, they had boys sit next to the girls in class. For some reason I got Thomas. As we got less shy, we used to play around a bit with the boys at recess time and lunch time – just the usual primary school games & stuff. Lol. Thomas was a bit of a “show off” and a smart-arse and thought he was really “it”. He used to think all the girls loved him, but he was just a short-arse, puny little guy with freckles and red hair. He used to chat a lot though. He would never shut up.  I started to think I actually liked him which was strange for a 10-year old girl. As he always wanted to show off, we got used to mucking around quite a bit – we would wrestle in the grass and I would let him beat me to make him feel better. I would make him carry me around the school grounds on his shoulders as he used to claim he was strong and as I was bigger and taller than him I thought this was a funny idea as he kept falling over and we would fall to the ground in a tangling, giggling heap. I don’t know why he wanted to keep doing this at all as I would have been sooo heavy to carry, but as it was fun then just about every recess time as we were about to go outside I would tell him it was “shoulder ride” time and he would oblige by letting me sit on his neck and lift me up and walk around with me on top of him like a queen. For about two weeks this happened every day - if I could not sight Thomas when we went to recess I would send one of his friends to find him and pass on the message that "Katie wants to be carried again on your shoulders - where the hell are you". That was enough to make him come in my direction. It was soooo funny and I felt strange being carried by this smart-alec boy but at the same time it was greatttttt funnnnn!! I can't tell you why but it is so coool walking around and looking down and watching your legs moving along with Thomas walking underneath and with your own feet not even touching the ground. One day the teachers saw us and said it was dangerous as I might fall off him and hurt both of us so they made us stop. They didn’t even like us wrestling in the grass so we would just sit around and talk for the rest of the year.

The first part of the story is good, wish that had happened to me at school!  Just a shame she is a bit of a bully but at least she realises this
