Riding on old ponies

An interesting thought,do any of you ever think of that.
What it would be like?.
It has been known,an old horse can give a more interesting ride.
Weight could perhaps be a problem, but there must be some riders out there less than 100kg
A thought?

Re: Riding on old ponies

Unfortunately with age comes ailments, our bodies are weaker and we get sick more easily.
Our knees make us suffer when we climb stairs.
We would love to be ridden by young women, but many of us would be content to watch.
However, with training and a good diet we can do it, we can be ridden by young ladies.

Re: Riding on old ponies

The sedentary lifestyle is causing me damage, I am currently trying to lose weight to improve my health because in my current physical condition I would collapse within 5 or 10 minutes of being ridden, and lady riders deserve to ride human horses who give better performance.

If I were a rider, I would choose the best horse.

Finally, thanks for your advice because I will follow and improve to be able to be ridden again, "old is the sea, but it still moves (I hope it is not a bad translation)".

Re: Riding on old ponies

I´m 67! Long from you Mastadon, but count in as old! I had carried a lot the 10 years before corona! Most riders heavier then me. No damage at all! Of other reason I had surgery in my belly! Thats the reason that I not carry any more sad Miss it a lot!  But I want to ride you Mastadone smile Can you handle my 85 kg! Or do I break your back?

Re: Riding on old ponies

I´m in Gothenburg, Sweden.  A trip to London would be nice when corona let us travel without a lot of "paperwork"! I like to ride and sit on you, including lap! But to field a guy near 90 years under my butt should be amazing! Think you struggle a lot to hold me up! How heavy are you?

Re: Riding on old ponies

Good to hear from you,you are a fair trot from London,we will have to see what happens in the next few months, virus willing.
I am 86kg
You want to sit on me,wots wrong with a chair, mind you I look a bit chair shaped so we could be well suited.
Have you ever travelled this far for e ride?
Cheers

Re: Riding on old ponies

Have travel a lot for carry guys! 19 to Munich for example for carry my friend Ralph! But did see the city too! Same with London. Go there for touristing! Ride someone is a bonus! Think it be in summer, not before! I sit on a chair now smile But its different to sit on a guy! Sit on your shoulders when you sit on soffa or maybe on lap! And when you feel readdy for it, a ride on shoulders!
