MissP in Festival

Hey everybody

I was at pinkpop festival in Netherlands last weekend. I went there with one of my ponies. It was a great experience since it was my first time to ride someone in a festival. It was very exciting, I could have several rides in three days.  Some of them were really hard rides that even my thigh started to hurt smile)

I could see many guys who were looking at us with a high interest and it was obvious they wished to do the same. I have ridden one of them too. But unfortunately I couldn't see any girl who looks eager to give me a ride or I didn't noticed!

Well what surprised me was that though I thought there would be no reaction as these things seem to be normal in festivals, many people were staring at us, some with interest, some with surprise, but some with an annoying face!

I was wondering about the last group. I thought it might be one of these reasons: 1. because I was sometimes dancing very hard on him and it was not normal for "normal" people anymore (but many were doing the same since most were drunk). 2. because he looked old and they felt pity for him that a person in his age is being ridden like that (though I've seen some other his age doing that). or 3. because mostly people do that for 2 minutes or sth but I stayed longer there and I guess his face kindda showed how tired or desperate he is... he was sweating like crazy too. I kindda guess the latter should be true

What do you think? What could be the reason for those few people who were looking strange at me?

I wanted to upload a link of some people doing shoulder ride in pinkpop but the size was too big and I couldn't. So I'm gonna try in youtube and share the link with you.

I think it would look surprised ... I guess I mind if he were back and could not see the festival. it also depends on how you .. if you're beautiful, I guess many of them would love to have you on his shoulders as your horse

I sometimes get annoyed by riders at concerts - i personally find it inconsiderate. That may explain the annoyed looks.

Re: MissP in Festival

Ciao MissP, ciao Friends
(Excuse my english)

These are my opinions about your reasons:
1) In many concerts we see girls dancing hard. It depends by concert's type (rock, pop, etc). This reason is true if your concert is of calm type.
2) Probable. In the concert generally we see young people.
3) In many concert we see very tired male horses, but generally they partecipate to general cheerfulness. In your case, the people who see your ride from beginning perhaps has noticed your very tired mount's face and his strong effort under you, and ask they-self why you do not dismount or he not lowed you on the ground. Yes, generally the wom rides we see around are of 'man controlled' type, not 'woman controlled' (and many of these wom rides are disgusting to me)

Another reason you do not have mentioned is that the rides hide concert's view to who is behind the riders: this can generate very strong nuisance.

Of course, if you are wearing visible spurs or similar, or you smack him with your hands or your feets, the people's reaction is auto-explained.

Krisbean, I likes very much concert's rides instead.

Re: MissP in Festival

One reason for the strange looks from some other people at the concert is that they know that shoulder-riding is or can be a fetish and because you were a younger female riding an older male in the way that you were, confirmed to them that this was indeed the case - and they did not particularly want to see your and your pony-guy's fetish acted out in public.

I agree with Checkmateguy. It would have been different if you both have been teens I guess. This is a liberal country in many ways, but sometimes people just can't resist to comment when they see me riding Shouldertaxi. The nice/disapproving comments ratio is 50/50. Most people pretend not to see you at all, which always make me chuckle a bit. (When that happens I realise that I'm having fun about them because of their embarrassment, which is not a good thing, but hey, I'm only human)

Ciao checkmateguy
I dont think. The fetish think can arise in the people if the ride happens in unusual situations, but in concert's case, as also in parade's or public shows's case the rides are usual.
Certainally if MissP have smacked with hands or feet her mount or reprimanded him with high loud, the thing is different.

In your case can be because is a mom ride. The wom rides are very more usual (fortunately, according to my opinion)

buongiorno Ponyxwoman

You're right, mom is less accepted unfortunately. If only it was the other way around! Still, Checkmateguy has a valid point.

Re: MissP in Festival

In the past when I have heard straight guys talking (i.e. married guys) about guys carrying females on their shoulders (a subject which they do sometimes talk about), their opinion is that women riding on the shoulders of guys is: s*e*x*u*a*l. This is probably because they thought that if they ever did give a female a ride on their shoulders they would find the experience 'arousing.' And those who have done so in the past, many of whom undoubtedly have done so either in a park, on holiday or even larking around in the bedroom, have probably found the experience arousing as well. The point is that quite a few people are aware that this activity (shoulder-riding) can be or is gratifying for both the rider and the carrier. People simply put two and two together and ask themselves the question: why is that middle-aged guy carrying that young female on his shoulders and why is she sitting on him for so long? Answer: both are 'getting off' on the experience. So unless you're two teen guys, beware of doing your shoulder-riding and carrying in public!

Thanks everybody for your responses. One thing I forgot to say (and you all referred to it) was that I was talking about those who were behind me because I couldn't even see them. What I said was only about people beside me or even in front of me. So this theory is rejected! wink

As I said those whom I mentioned were not behind me. Yes, I am beautiful but it justifies those who were looking at us with interest or smile and I could see they wish to be in his place. But my question was about those who looked angry or annoyed. It should indeed have another reason

Hi ponyxwoman,

1.It was not a concert with light music generally speaking
2 and 3 are possible in my opinion too.
smile) Of course I didn't have spurs or sth there. I looked totally normal!
But thanks for your effort to explain

Re: MissP in Festival

Do you really think so?! I always think there are many few people who are aware of the fetish aspect of shoulder riding. Especially in a festival where these things can be normal I really don't think anybody sees it as a fetish.

What I guess as the most possible answer is the age difference. If we were both young, it might be different. As I remember, they all started to have that annoyed face when they looked down at him... He is only 43 but because his hair is almost gray he might look older. If you are both male, I guess that's why they look annoyed. The thing is that even in Germany, where people are not as open as people of your country, they never looked annoyed when they saw me riding on my boyfriend's shoulder in street (only in evening) they just thought we are having fun and they smiled or laughed, etc because we were both young. So I believe the main thing would be the same age difference.
p.s. your country is a very nice one and your people are lovely smile

Thanks for your comment. Useful!
I agree. I guess many men see this very sexy. There was a young guy standing behind me in the festival who slapped on my ass while I was doing a shoulder ride (he was totally drunk), I looked back kindda annoyed and he said it is very sexy, and you have a sexy ass, sorry but I couldn't resist! And he couldn't stop looking at us the entire time. Then when I got down I told him if he likes, he can give me a ride too and he said "no, I just love watching it because it is sexy".

Well the reactions were not that bad. As I said they were mostly looking interestingly. There were just a few who showed that face who were mainly girls. I don't remember seeing any guy with an annoyed face. But some girls first looked at him and then they looked up at me kindda annoyed. Your comment that we were not both teen guys might justify it!

Re: MissP in Festival

Hello MissP,

Thank you for sharing your adventure at the festival. I have had some interesting reactions from people when I have been giving shoulder rides in public. A lot of times I get the impression that people love to watch it and many times they wish they were either the rider or the mount. I remember giving a lady friend a ride on a public street and a nice young couple were approaching us. She slapped her boyfriend on the arm and said, "Why don't you every carry me like that?"

I remember carrying a woman on a hike and when we went around the corner of a trail, an older couple walked passed us and the woman said loudly… "Oh right on!!!!"

On another occasion I was carrying a friend on a public street and two girls were walking past us and said in a playful manner, "Can we have a ride too?"

One time I had a woman on my shoulders at a concert and I carried her for the entire length of the performance. She was not very heavy… maybe 48 Kg. Some guy came up to me at the end of the concert and extended his hand to shake my hand. He said, "You're a machine… I can't believe how long you carried her… I just have to shake your hand."

Several years ago I was in a night club giving shoulder rides on the dance floor to two women who I just met that night. I picked the first one up while we were dancing by bending down and scooping her onto my shoulders. She was surprised but ended up loving it. then her friend wanted a turn dancing on my shoulders. We did this for a long time and I was surprised that security didn't make me put them down. They ended up coming back the next weekend specifically looking for me and asking for more shoulder rides on the dance floor. Some of the people in the club looked at us like we were crazy but I didn't care. They don't have to look at us if we are offending them. They can stare at the wall that matches their personality. ha ha

In all of these instances it was clear to me that people enjoy seeing couples having fun and I think people are attracted to watching the act of other people having physical contact whether they are hugging and kissing, or she is sitting on his lap at a bus stop, or she is riding him in some fashion. That's why we love watching acrobats and cheerleaders, etc. We like watching physical contact in various ways. In some cases, when it looks like her mount is really suffering, some people may become intrigued and wonder if there is more to it than just riding. Sometimes there is. ha ha

As far as some people looking annoyed, it could be a number of reasons as already mentioned, but in my humble opinion, I wouldn't care what other people think. It is challenging enough to find partners who will indulge our shoulder riding desires and when an opportunity presents itself, I'm certainly not going to stop one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life because somebody else doesn't like what I'm doing. In a way… I could look annoyed right back at them for being so negative, miserable and ruining my good time. ha ha

Anyway, I think I have babbled enough on this subject and I'm really enjoying the images in my mind of now magnificent you must have looked dancing so hard on your pony at the festival. smile

All the best,

MountMeForever

Re: MissP in Festival

I have done that so many times! Actually this is very exciting for me, because girl can really enjoy riding and dansing on shoulders. As a fact I am doing this for Years with different girls, very often some of them I meet first time on concert and always it is great time for me and them too! Riding hard and dancing on shoulders a few songs, than short break and than again ... and this way all concert is the way I practice too. And  most of the  girls, whether they are my female friends or just girls from the crowd like to feel that their mount is straining till his last atom to give them what they need-comfortable and  long riding. They like  their  carrier has excellent stability, so that they can wave their bodies and bouncing on they shoulders! Many Years I am practicing that and now very often girls need break after half an hour to rest they legs and return normal blood circulation. A few minutes and than again. So a hundred of times I was riding very hard by younger girls and I was struggling to keep balance while she was waving her body back or she banded to reach a cigarette or a drink. A 3 Years ago I was carrying beautiful blond girl from the crowd , she was 188 tall and 78 kg the whole concert without breaks, her girlfriend- pretty too  was standing next to us and she was giving me water from her bottle, but the whole concert the girl on my shoulders didnt ask if I am tired or something similar. She was dancing very very hard -it was her favorite group-that is maybe the secret that she didnt suffered from leg numbness. I have putted this clip on Youtube, but was rejected -too long -more than 45 minutes...-

And I can tell if young people are in the crowd everything is ok! But if some people staring at you it could be the only one reason- they dont enjoy sincerely in music or they are not satisfied by their  selfs in they lives so than they looking around  and judging things- they think that have perfect moral standards so that can evaluate what is wrong and what is not. Riding and preventing other people to see is not by their opinion -specially long riding. I had some experiences like that too, but I also and the girl who is riding me sometimes dont like this kind of people, so we just change the place- moving forward...and the riding is keep going. Yust once one of my riding girls was disturbed by throwing a coins from the people behinds! And I was in many countries on concerts and festivals!

Thanks for sharing your experience
I think you do right to change your position so to get around more friendly people.
I have already pointed that a man mount must have a well shape and strenght.
Myself have be ridden at concert in the past, and I remember the difficulty to be stable on the legs when a girl move on my shoulders. But I have founded some tricks for enduring, and for to give max confort to my rider.  But I think much of effort is in male mount's mind: male mount need a strong will for to not feel the increasing symptoms of tiring that arises by muscle and by bones. In this effort I was helped by my masochistic nature.

About you clip, you can upload to a hosting service, but almost all require (free) registration, that can be annoying.

@ forbereit congratulation.

Do You have any special way of approaching a stange woman to offer her a ride on Your shoulders? I'm always bshful in such sitation I'm afraid that for example she's with a boyfriend, that she refuses, that she or her friends are going to laugh at me. Basiacally I'm afraid of making an idiot of myself.

Re: MissP in Festival

You must try! It is better to talk with girls, if they are into shoulderriding, if not, change the place, make a new try!

Re: MissP in Festival

Hello Misiulo,

Don't be afraid to ask a woman if she would like to get on your shoulders so she can see the band better. It's not like you are asking her to show you her breasts. Ha Ha You are being polite and being a gentleman and offering your service to her for a more enjoyable concert experience. How can she be offended by that? By the mere act of asking her, you are showing her that find her attractive and no woman will get upset if you politely express your attraction for her. If she says "no", it's okay and who really cares. You will most likely never see her again so who cares if you feel embarrassed or rejected. Don't let your ego prevent you from having one of the best times of your life. There are only 10,000 other women at the concert you can ask who might say "yes". ha ha

When I was young, I used to have problems asking women to get on my shoulders because I was shy back then, but not anymore. Life is too short to waste it by being afraid in my opinion. But in those situations when I am still feeling a bit shy, I have found really good success by bringing some packs of chewing gum in my pocket and I find a spot in the crowd where there appears to be some women without boyfriends and I stand beside them relaxing and waiting for the band. Then I start a bit of conversation with them by talking a bit about the next band or asking them some simple questions about the concert such as what time does it end, or I talk about how hot it is in the sun, etc. Then I pull out some gum and I offer them some gum while I am also putting a piece in my mouth. This way they can see that the gum is not drugged or anything because I am eating it in front of them and the act of sharing food or candy with someone is a sign of friendship. This results in them being more comfortable talking to me and even being a bit more friendly. Once we are feeling comfortable, I will tell them that the next band should be fantastic but it might be really hard for them to see the band so if they want to take turns sitting on my shoulders to get a good view, I would be more than willing to hold them on my shoulders. At this point, you can see their reaction and most of the time it is positive and they are excited to use you in this way. If they say they don't want to get on your shoulders, you can say in a laughing joking way, "Don't tell me you're chicken to get on my shoulders?" This now comes across as a challenge to them and they don't like being called "chicken" or "afraid." Many times the women that said "no" will get on my shoulders just to prove a point and to prove me wrong about them. It really works as long as you don't say it in an insulting or offending way. It must be done with a pleasant laughing kind of way. It works very well. In fact, I find this an interesting observation. I like when a women rides me hard at a concert and it seems that the women who originally said "no" but now get on my shoulders to prove they are not a chicken will ride me the hardest. It is like they are secretly punishing me for calling them "chicken."

Then if all this fails, don't waste anymore time and think about where you might want to move to try again with some different girls.

I hope my suggestions will give you some ideas. You really need to throw away your ego and not worry about being rejected. You will miss out on so many opportunities to give rides if you fear rejection. I think back to all the shoulder rides I could have given and I missed out on them because I was shy. Sometimes it was the girl asking for the ride and I said "no" because I was afraid of what other people might think. I regret missing all those opportunities and not having the memories of those rides.

How can it be inconsiderate? Plus I was not the only person doing that.

Possibly because I'm not that tall and it's hard for me to see as is smile
I remember going to Obama's first inauguration - shoulder riders were shouted down. I guess no one wnted their view of history obstructed!

Re: MissP in Festival

Hi Krisbean,

I can certainly appreciate your frustration when you can't see because of someone shoulder riding in front of you. If I am carrying a woman in a crowd and it appears that the crowd is really getting upset with me, I will move to the edge of the crowd on the side or towards the back where there is a lot of space around the people and they can easily step to the side of me because the crowd is not too dense. I find that a lot of riders would prefer to be on my shoulders even if it means being further away from the stage than being on the ground crushed by the crowd and unable to see. If security still won't let me carry my rider when I'm at the back of a crowd, I will comply with the rules and do my best to have a good time anyway.

The other thing I have found, is if there are people shoulder riding beside me, it is really easy to find a girl who will also get on my shoulders. A lot of women have no problem mounting shoulders if someone has already started doing it beside us. I guess I am completely obsessed and addicted to giving shoulder rides because I would prefer to have a beautiful woman on my shoulders and I don't care if I can see the band or not. HA HA  If I can hear the music and dance with her on my shoulders while she rides me really hard, I am in heaven. I don't even go to concerts anymore where you are forced to sit in seats and there is no possibility of shoulder riding. Unless of course I really love the band and want to see their performance regardless of shoulder riding. Anyway, with the expensive price of concert tickets these days, I don't blame you for being annoyed if you can't see.

mountmeforever, that's very considerate of you. i almost never go to festivals b/c of that reason. in fact, just the sheer crush of people makes it difficult to see, shoulder riding or not.
good luck on your shoulder riding adventures!

Re: MissP in Festival

May I add another trick for guys who like to give a shoulder ride to girls at concert?
You just need to take a camera with you! Then you ask the girl beside you "I really love this band and I like to have a recording of them or some photos. Can you mount on my shoulders and do this favor to me?" It is very unlikely if they say no! And then when you see she likes it, you can just carry her more and more as a thank you for what she has done for you!

Re: MissP in Festival

Brilliant idea, MissP. It could work at all sorts of public events too such as here, in the UK, when we get a royal visit and the streets are packed with people. Just go up to a young female you like the look of and politely ask if she'd hop up on your shoulders and take some photos for you - amazingly simple but amazingly effective. The only thing I'd add is that it's probably best to pick a girl who's wearing jeans or shorts - and during this very hot summer in the UK, the girls here are wearing the shortest of shorts.
