Ultimate shoulder rides

Dear fellow shoulder riding fans,

I would really like to know now if there is a serious interest to meet each other. We have talked about this before but in case we want to do this on a huge outdoor event in this summer it would be neccessary to clarify NOW who is interested.
Possible locations could be:

the Loveparade in Dortmund / Germany - July 19th 2008
the Streetparade in Zürich / Svitzerland - August 9th 2008
(both are basically parades with techno music and good mood events with about one million celebrating people and plenty of shoulder riding)

the DIF (Donauinselfest) in Vienna / Austria - 5th-7th September 2008
(three day festival with different music styles, many stages; the biggest outdoor festival in Europe!)

All of these events are free of charge.

Every member is more than welcome to come of course, I difinitely will be there!
If we decide for the DIF in Vienna I can book the hotel rooms but would need to know the number of people until the end of next week (March 2nd)! You can post your interest here and state which of the events would be your prefered one or write me to my email link. After we decided for the location I will write the members who want to participate at this great opportunity an email with further information (e.g. hotel room prices, where to meet, event information,...).

I am looking forward to your opinions, ideas and partcipation!

fantastic!

Some of my opinions about the get together.

1. Be confident of your abilities to lift up riders.

2, Don't be discourage of "no" answers. Try, try, try again.

3. Respect all other shoulder ride community members.

4. There should be no envy of incidents to be told, but congradulate other members
experience.

5. Most important, have fun, have a blast, help each other out.

Thank you very much Dover for your comments, I totally agree with every word you say! Maybe you don't see a chance to attend but things can change suddenly in our lifes and who knows you might find an opportunity to participate, it would be fantastic to meet you!

I have a question for Loui: festivals, the girls asked to sit on the shoulders, girls unknown?

Basically yes grome. I know that it can work to get girls who are strangers on shoulders. Last year I had 13 girls up who I didn't know at all, 10 of them at the Streetparade. So, I made positive experiences. Of course not every girl will let you give her a shoulder sit or ride. But as long as you don't give up quickly your chances are realistic to get your sr and there are endless girls on that events.
However any female shoulder riding lover like Liz and Alice is more than welcome to participate - I am sure I don't have to emphasize this, of course any female member here would be a sensational enrichment there!
