Its getting more difficult now to track down if a youtube link has been posted before, would it be possible to have a feature wherby the youtube url is entered into a ui interface and then checked to see if it already exists? if it does then a message is displayed, if it dosnt then the post is added (together with an optional description). I know it wont stop a clip that has been reuploaded to youtube but it may stop existing clips being reposted.
I belong to another site (off topic) that has this and I find it very useful. It stops all the 'seen it' replies as well ![]()
Thanks

Interesting. I will investigate if there is any script that could do that. Exactly which site has this feature? Feel free to send me a private message if you prefer.

Hi Nick
I'll send a mail to the admin guy of that other site to see what is being used (I'm not dodging telling you the site, its just that you have to be a member to post clips so you wouldnt be able to see anything unless you joined)
There is one other feature , when the url is posted, the software also displays 3 jpegs taken from the clip ...
I'll get back asap
