I don't understand the adminitrators on this subject..they turned their back on a dedicated member as myself,to listen to members who I bet are not as dedicated to this group the way I am..Yes I am very dissapointed,but it does not mean I will ever stop posting pics..

  I understand your pain with yahoo groups. Many of the member who started this new group had our previous pictures wiped out (without warning) in the old yahoo shoulder-ride groups which scottydl and njetski maintained.   I even had to loan scotty my yahoo username and password for a while because they locked him completely out of the system.     We learned the hard lesson that you must download any pictures you like because they may be erased without warning. 

There has to be some solution to this problem!   Here is another possibility.

Use webshots!
Create an account on webshots and share the pictures via a link to your page.   Think about it.  You will not be subject to censorship... because you run the site.   
Picture downloads seemed to be easy (I used it last year).  You can post a link in this forum for any postings.  I am not sure if others can place pictures in your account (probably not), but we can also post links to the sites that we decide to use as a posting "dump".

Webshots is the easiest to set up, but if you want more control use a Facebook account. With Facebook you can block any offending members that annoy you.   My guess is tha most will recognize the fact that you are the most prolific picture finder and will "play nice" in your forum.

All of these options require more effort than simply posting in one of the yahoo groups, but they are alternatives that could get us back to exchanging the pictures we like.

OK, enough is enough - I thought I had already made it clear the reasons behind removing pictures that featured under-age shoulder-ride participants in previous postings in here, but obviously I did not.

It was not a decision that was made easily - to Bert - yes a few people had made their opinions clear about this problem in here, and they stated in no uncertain terms what they felt, and yes, I do feel that some of these postings were a bit  paranoid to say the least - but NO, these people do not run the group or dictate to anyone, least of all the moderators and administrators, as to what was suitable or not. The decision was made to ensure the long term survival of this community. That is all there is to it. Nothing more, nothing less. We could NOT engage or bring attention to ourselves of any activity that could have been conscrued by any person in the wider community as being anything less than desirable, no matter how innocent it may have seemed to the majority of us. Opinions differ amongst communities and countries and standards do differ somewhat - keep in mind this is a WORLD wide community - it is unique in that we all seem to co-operate and get on very well and we need to keep it that way. And we most importantly, need to keep our service provider on-side. That is critical.

Like it or not, there is a lot of sensitivity in the wider community about posting pictures of younger people even engaging in an activity as innocent as shoulder riding. The stigma that this is merely a "fetish" is something we all have to live with whether we like it or not. Would you prefer this site was shut down by the service provider altogether? I personally love seeing photos of older girls and women on younger boys as we all know - just as much as I loved 3/4 high towers which always seem to feature younger people as well. For the greater good of this community, and to ensure it's long term survival, I have curtailed the majority of these sort of pictures.

You may opt to post pictures to Yahoo groups, but you are on a hiding to nothing - they can be shut down at any time and without notice and for whatever reason they decide and you will never know as they will not explain anything. I will never go back there again - I meant what I said at the time and I will say it again - Yahoo groups are finished - a waste of time. Don't bother posting any links here - all groups in Yahoo are short term at best. They never last. Especially those that deal with things like young women and boys lifting and carrying older people. Here one day, gone the next. End of story. They lost me forever when they wiped out years of hard work without reason. Nothing I ever posted ever contravened their terms of service, but the minute someone complained, that was the end. The same thing could happen here - so we need to keep EVERYONE on side. If that means sacrificing some pictures and postings then that is the way it is. I personally like all the pictures of shoulder riding young and old and we all know that, but for the greater good of keeping this community together, I have had to make sacrifices. It still upsets me that so many pictures I had to delete but believe me, there was no choice.

Vaggelli - what you said about your experiences with Yahoo groups - spot on - too many idiots and too many leeches and freeloaders - end of story - surely what we have here is a bit better than all that!!

The suggestions Bert has made have some merit - we need to look into this - but again, be very careful as anything that can be construed as people being taken advantage of, is fraught with danger. Shoulder rides in themselves are probably fine, but nothing else at all.

I have thought about some other proposals and options for displaying pictures long and hard and I am open to ideas, but we need to not rush into this as it needs some thought and care first. We need to be patient. The solutions are not easy.

To Vaggelli, Ringo and Bert - I respect you all immensely as both contributors and people and I understand how you feel about all this - the site has not been hijacked by the "fetish" people and never will be as long as I am around. We need to look at the bigger picture here - it is not just about majority vote or anything like that. It is much more complicated, believe me. I value all of your contributions, pictures and links. You are all vital to the success of this site and we do not want to lose you. Believe me.

I was being sarcastic about dictatorship..Actually,we should never make any remarks towards people living in these countries..Most of us in this community I feel are fortunate to be living in a free society...We all have a right to bitch about anything in Canada..Problem is,not much get's done by goverment,even when we demonstrate about something..The great part is,at least they let us demonstrate..I feel this is also in all countries..they seem to make things worse instead of better..Oh well..Enough of politics for now:(..

I am ashamed of myself..Sometimes I do get caught up in the heat of the moment..You sir are correct in everything you pointed out..There's not much we can add with what you said..Yes it seems,sometimes I may sound like a broken record bringing up the older girl/younger boy subject..However,this is a passion of mine since I was a child..And yes,there may be times that I will have to defend my passion..

As I said,you explainned things to us a little better this time..Hopefully,we will not lash out with the administators like we just did a few days ago..I'm not sure what to add for now about this...Do I agree with your final decision?NOOOOOO..We must though try to respect your decision,as this may save our club from being punished or something of that nature..This was not a popular decision cause we do seem to have a lot of members who are fans of the older girl/young boy  fan club in our community..

I think this is the only way since we are being actively censored.
