at the risk of sounding stupid i just want to make sure that everyone is aware that the new free version of real player allows you to download any video you watch on the net, including youtube. You can then just save it to your hardrive. Sorry if this is already common knowledge.

I knew it but suspect some did not.
Of course, if you assume that all did and some did not, then those that did not know find out that you knew and you did not tell them, then they too will be angry at you.
So no matter what you do, somebody will be angry at you. You can not please all the people all the time so you may as well just please yourself.

Real Player is a notorious software as it is very fond of spyware and to mess up your system in diverse ways. Do you mean that this new version is different in that respect?

i use real alternative instead of it, so that i can play mov files on any player i like. also it is spyware free. you can find it at http://www.free-codecs.com/download/real_Alternative.htm

yes realplayer is notorious for spyware but just make sure that you have software installed to deal with it, such as adaware
